CUNIMA Awards Long-Serving Staff Members

The Catholic University of Malawi (CUNIMA) has awarded long-serving staff members at the University since its inception.
During the 2022 End of Year Party held on 23rd December 2022 in the University’s Cafeteria Hall, the Registrar Mr. Francis Vincent Nkhoma commended the awardees for their continued contribution to the University over the years.


The Registrar urged other staff members to emulate a good gesture by the awardees arguing that “a rolling stone gathers no moss”
Concurring with the Registrar, the Vice-Chancellor Rev. Fr. Dr. George Buleya further commended the awardees for their long experience with CUNIMA.


Fr. Buleya added that most of the awardees have witnessed the growth of the University in terms of academic, and infrastructural growth experienced in the past years.


The Vice-Chancellor further applauded the awardees for sailing all forms of turbulences together with the University.
Among the staff members who were recognized for their services offered for a long time include. Mrs. Frolinda Chawanda (the secretary for the Faculties of Nursing and Midwifery and Law), Ms. Lonjezo Manyozo (the secretary for the Faculties of Science and Social Sciences), Mrs. Elsie Phokoso (Finance Officer), Mr. Peter Goweni (Senior Office Assistant) and Mr. Enwood Chirambo (Dean of Students) Mr. Henry Gwanzani (Head Driver) just to list some.


Each Year the University organizes a Party that brings together all staff members and their spouses together to interact. During the event, the University does recognize those that have served the University for many years.
